Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply to your use of this website and to booking and attending appointments with us.

This website is operated by Medcentre Podiatry Pty Ltd (ABN 79 604 620 117), trading as Burwood Podiatry and Lower Limb Rehab (“we”, “us”, “our”), of 16 Railway Parade (Rear Building, Level 1 – Suite 102), Burwood NSW 2134. By using this website or booking an appointment with us, you agree to these terms.

1. Use of this website

This website provides general information about Burwood Podiatry and Lower Limb Rehab and our services. Any information on this site — including information about conditions and treatments — is general in nature, is not clinical advice, and is not a substitute for individual assessment by a registered practitioner. While we take care to keep the site accurate and up to date, we do not warrant that the content is accurate, complete or current, and (subject to section 2) you rely on it at your own risk. If you have a health concern, please book a consultation so our podiatrists can assess your circumstances.

2. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded — including that they will be provided with due care and skill. Where these terms limit our liability, they do so only to the extent the law allows, and always subject to those non-excludable rights.

3. Bookings and appointments

Appointments can be requested through our online booking system or by phone, and are subject to availability and confirmation. When you book, we will ask for the information we need to provide safe care and to contact you about your appointment.

4. Cancellations, changes and missed appointments

When you book, we set that time aside for you. If you need to change or cancel, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice so the time can be offered to another patient — you can reschedule easily up to that point.

To hold your appointment, we may ask for card details or a deposit at the time of booking, particularly for longer or higher-value appointments. If you give us less than 24 hours’ notice, or do not attend, a cancellation fee may apply, up to the value of the booked consultation. This fee reflects the cost of the reserved time we were unable to offer to another patient. Any deposit you have paid is applied toward your care. This section operates subject to section 2.

If you are unable to attend because of illness or other genuine and unavoidable circumstances, the cancellation fee is not charged — please just let us know what has happened. Our cancellation terms are shown to you when you book and are set out on our Fees & Payment page, so there are no surprises.

Different rules may apply where your care is funded through NDIS, DVA, a SIRA/workers-compensation insurer or an aged-care program; we will tell you if a different cancellation arrangement applies to your funding pathway.

5. Fees and payment

This is not a bulk-billed service. Payment is required at the time of your visit. Where a Medicare rebate applies, we process the claim on the spot, and Medicare pays the rebate to you — usually to the bank account linked to the debit card you pay with, or to the bank account you have registered with Medicare. We also process private health fund (via HICAPS), DVA, NDIS, SIRA/workers-compensation and aged-care claims as they apply to your funding pathway. Current fees are set out on our Fees & Payment page; fees may change, so please confirm when you book. Any additional treatment is always discussed and agreed with you first.

6. Clinical care and outcomes

Our podiatrists provide general foot and lower-limb care. Every person is different, outcomes vary, and no specific result can be guaranteed. We will explain your options, their expected benefits and any limitations or risks, and the decision is always yours. This website does not create a practitioner–patient relationship; that begins when you attend for assessment and care.

7. Limitation of liability

Subject to section 2 and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website or its content, including where the site is unavailable or contains an error. Where our liability for a non-clinical service (such as this website) cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied. This re-supply limit does not apply to the clinical care we provide: nothing in these terms limits your non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law in relation to that care, including the guarantee that it will be provided with due care and skill.

8. Third-party links

This website may contain links to other websites we do not control. We provide those links for convenience only; a link does not mean we endorse the linked site, and we are not responsible for its content or its privacy or security practices. You access linked sites at your own risk.

9. Acceptable use

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes, and not to interfere with its operation or security, attempt to gain unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, or extract or scrape data from the site. We may restrict or withdraw access to anyone who misuses the site.

10. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, images, graphics and design — is owned by us or our licensors unless otherwise stated. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. All other use, including reproduction or republication, requires our written permission. Any third-party names or trade marks remain the property of their owners.

11. Availability of the website

We aim to keep the website available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may update, suspend or withdraw all or part of the site at any time without notice.

12. Suspension of access

We may suspend or end your access to the website if you breach these terms or use the site in a way that is unlawful or that could harm the site, us, or other users.

13. Privacy

We handle your personal and health information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Please read it to understand how we collect, use, protect and disclose your information.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

15. General

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest continues to apply. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about your use of this website.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the date it was last updated.
